Main Features and Advantages
The Allen-Bradley 1426-M5E-DNT combines revenue-grade metering accuracy with the communication flexibility expected in a modern Rockwell Automation architecture. Its EN 62053-22 Class 0.2 and ANSI C12.20 Class 0.2 accuracy classification supports sub-metering and departmental or tenant cost allocation, making it suitable for applications that go beyond simple load indication.High-resolution measurement:The meter monitors four voltage and four current channels on every electrical cycle, capturing 1024 samples per cycle per channel and calculating over 6,000 parameters each cycle. This provides the resolution needed for meaningful demand tracking, load profiling and detection of voltage or current irregularities.Dual-port industrial communication:The native EtherNet/IP port supports the CIP Energy Object, allowing the Allen-Bradley 1426-M5E-DNT to integrate directly with Logix controllers, FactoryTalk View SE/ME and FactoryTalk EnergyMetrics without a gateway. The second DeviceNet port retains compatibility with existing DeviceNet scanners such as the 1756-DNB, 1769-SDN and 1771-SDN, which is useful during phased network migrations.Built-in web server:A standard web interface provides configuration, real-time data access and I/O status without proprietary software. This simplifies commissioning, parameter changes and troubleshooting from a notebook connected to the control network.Configurable inputs and outputs:Four 24 VDC status inputs can monitor external contact closures such as breaker status or WAGES utility inputs. Three DPDT control relays and one KYZ pulse output provide connectivity to SCADA systems, pulse-counting totalizers or demand controllers. Up to 20 events can be assigned configurable alarms.
