Allen-Bradley 1794-PS13 1.3A Output AC-DC Converter插图

Description:The Allen-Bradley 1794-PS13 is a compact, DIN rail-mounted AC/DC power supply specifically designed for the FLEX I/O distributed control system. It converts a wide range of AC line voltages (85-265V AC) into a stable 24V DC output to power FLEX I/O adapter modules (such as the 1794-AENT) and their associated I/O modules. With a rated output of 1.3A (31.2W), it is the standard power source for small to medium-sized FLEX I/O racks, providing critical backplane power and electrical isolation.Application Scenarios:In a packaging machine’s remote junction box, a 1794-PS13 is mounted on a DIN rail alongside a 1794-AENTR Flex I/O Ethernet Adapter and several digital I/O modules. The 1794-PS13 takes the 220V AC mains power from the factory floor and converts it to 24V DC, directly powering the adapter and the sensors/actuators connected to the I/O modules. This eliminates the need for a separate external power supply, simplifying the cabinet layout and reducing wiring costs for distributed I/O points.

Technical Principles and Innovative Values:

  • Innovation Point 1: Integrated Backplane Power Architecture: Unlike generic power supplies, the 1794-PS13 is engineered to integrate directly into the FLEX I/O bus. Its output terminals (G, H, I, J) are designed for daisy-chaining 24V DC power to multiple adapter modules, minimizing voltage drop and ensuring stable logic power for the entire rack without complex external wiring harnesses.
  • Innovation Point 2: Global Voltage Compatibility: The module features an ultra-wide input range (85-265V AC), allowing it to be deployed in virtually any industrial environment—from 120V AC North American grids to 220V AC European and Asian systems—without the need for jumpers or hardware reconfiguration. This simplifies global machine design and spare parts stocking.
  • Innovation Point 3: Space-Optimized Design: The open-style chassis and compact footprint allow for high-density mounting in crowded control cabinets. It serves as a “power hub” for the FLEX I/O system, reducing the need for larger, centralized power supplies and enabling true distributed control architecture.
